Volunteer to be a Tutor

Volunteer tutors in the Adult Literacy Program empower other adults by teaching functional literacy skills such as basic reading and writing. Volunteers receive training in tutoring techniques and receive ongoing support. Tutoring takes place at local library branches for 1 to 2 hours per week at a time and day convenient for both tutors and learners. No experience is required, and tutoring services are provided all around the county.

A Family Literacy Program is also available as well as an English as a Second Language Program.
