Literacy Coalition of Lake County, California
Lake County Literacy Coalition (LCLC) is a non-profit volunteer organization that sponsors and supports the Adult and Family Literacy Program of Lake County Library.
To promote increased literacy in Lake County through added financial support of the Adult and Family Literacy Programs of the Lake County Library.
September is National Literacy Month! On September 13th, 2022, the Lake County Library Literacy Program and Lake County Coalition were proclamated by the Board of Supervisors, designating September 2022 as Literacy Awareness Month in Lake County!
We thank the dedicated volunteer tutors, learners, families, and library staff for supporting this program and serving an important need for our community.

More than 43 million adults in the United States cannot read, write, or do basic math above a third-grade level. We recognize the many volunteers, tutors, and adult learners whose efforts continue to improve the literacy skills of Lake County residents!
