Literacy Coalition of Lake County, California


Lake County Literacy Coalition (LCLC) is a non-profit volunteer organization that sponsors and supports the Adult and Family Literacy Program of Lake County Library.


Our Mission:

To promote increased literacy in Lake County through added financial support of the Adult and Family Literacy Programs of the Lake County Library.

LCLC is affiliated with Pro-Literacy, the world’s oldest and largest nonprofit organization dedicated to adult literacy.


  • Interested in helping others? Do you have a good command of the English language? Are you compassionate and patient? Consider becoming a volunteer literacy tutor? Bilingual tutors especially needed for our English as a Second language program. Our next tutor training is scheduled for April 24, 2024 in Clearlake. Contact 707-263-7633 or for more information! 

  • Do you know someone who needs help with reading and writing? The Lake County Library Adult Literacy Program offers free one-on-one tutoring for adults to improve their literacy skills! Contact 707-263-7633 or to learn more.
